The Great Egg Hunt: Chapter 1 - Quest 1 Guide

The Great Egg Hunt: Chapter 1 - Quest 1 Guide

The Grove with Marigold, Rafael, and Yvette
Welcome to the Castleville Legends Easter Event: The Great Egg Hunt. If you are Level 19 and have recently updated your game then you will be able to participate in this quest.

Things to know:

The overall story is broken up into several chapters. Each chapter has a set of four quests that need to be completed. Some of the quests are repeatable(mainly 2 & 3).

Zynga is introducing 'Collection' event tasks in this Easter event. There will be two collections, one in the first week and one in week four.

During the Great Egg Hunt event you will see text referring to 'Search the Grove'. Basically this is where Bryon has escaped. It's up to us to search and find not only a missing young dragon but also the missing dragon egg. We will be asked to collect/gather materials in order to search the grove and win various prizes. There is also the possibility of a grand 'jackpot' prize.

Lastly, this is indeed another challenging event that is being debuted along another leaderboard contest. If you do not have the dedicated time to compete on a daily basis I highly recommend focusing on finishing the quests and not worrying about the leaderboard event.

Quest 1: A Friend in Need
The scene of crime...Dragon's Clutch
We pick off from the Friendship Tournament as we discover that the Human prince, Bryon, has made off with a dragon's egg. The egg thief has stolen a baby egg from the Dragon's Clutch.
A new friend dragon in trouble?
As we begin the new quest we are given troubling news. A young dragon named Marigold has gone missing around the same time Bryon had made off with a dragon egg.
Our first set of tasks
It's up to us to find clues to hunt down Bryon as well as the missing egg and young dragon. What we need to do is send off Yvette to the Dragon's Clutch. Meanwhile we'll harvest our oat fields for granola clusters and the blueberry patch for dried blueberries to help make 'Dragon Rations'.
Apparently a few of our dragons like to eat healthy.
Off to the Trail Kitchen we go to put together our food. We will need carrots, cheese, and dried blueberries to make a Dragon Ration.

In total we will need:

2 Carrots
2 Cheese = 12 milk from cows
6 Dried Blueberries - Harvest these from a Blueberry field.

Total time: 1 Hour for 2 Dragon Rations

Notes -

Dried Blueberries: Harvest these from blueberry fields. Not a perfect drop rate but not bad either. You may end up using a few Quick Spells to hasten the process in getting these for the amount required.

Granola Clusters - they drop easily enough from Oat fields. You'll find the Global Market saturated with them by now as well.
2 Ladders and 1 Tent needed for exploration
While our Dragon Rations are cooking we then send off Yvette to the Dragon's Clutch. It's a long trip but you can speed it up with Fast Foot spells.
Why is Yvette tracking down dragons when Rafael is the ranger? Oi!
And that's it for the first quest of Chapter One. Very nice and easy but unfortunately it starts to get more challenging in the next section.

A heads up for the second quest:
If you would like a head start on the second quest then send off Heroes to the Dragon Ruin to start collecting 'Violetta's Advice',

Send a Hero to the Watch Tower to begin collecting 'Divining Emblems' for the Divining Rods. You are going to need several Divining Emblems.

Meanwhile - start building up that Candle Wax. You are going to need 15 Candle Wax in total. Also you want to create nine Purple Dye as well. The candle wax and dye used together will help craft a new item needed for the second quest.

Good luck!

Weekly Quest 1 - Bonus Objective
Sugar is not a good boost for long term energy, Yvette. Seriously....
A quest meant to be completed over the course of a single week. The Seek And Ye Shall Find quest awards a nice chunk of 'Shiny Gems'. The Shiny Gems is the leaderboard currency for this event. The more you have, the higher in ranks you climb the ladder. If you are not participating in the leaderboard event then you can choose to skip this part as it's not needed to fulfill the main event's requirements. It's simply a bonus challenge to help you compete.

However I do recommend to start collecting mint chocolate chips until you have 15 chips in total for a later quest.

Happy Playing,
Masaya of
