The Great Egg Hunt: Chapter 2 - Quest 2 Guide

Still looking for that handsome but greedy Byron

Hello Kings and Queens! Apologies for the late guides but my Easter vacation has been a rather chaotic one. I'll do my best to get as many up as time allows. Okay! So, we are continuing from The Great Egg Hunt: Chapter 2 - Quest 1 Guide .  The hunt for Bryon is still on-going but now we have a few other Heroes jumping in to help save the missing dragon egg.

Giovanni's genius to the rescue

Our overall set of tasks are thankfully a lot simpler than previous quests. We are going to investigate Bryon's tracks(which involves first getting topaz from the Gateway of Luck), crafting 4 Brass monkeys at the Gadget Shoppe as well as crafting 2 Brass gears.

Where to buy Bryon's Tracks

Open up the marketplace shop

In the marketplace shop you will find Bryon's tracks available for 300 gold. Find a place on your land and place it. Meanwhile,  If you are still searching for Marigold's Clues(a lot of us are still looking as well) make sure to have plenty of torches on hand. 

Tip: If you have Ember(He's a large adult dragon bought with crowns) send him off to the Watchtower. He'll bring back a torch each time.  

Topaz and the Gateway of Luck

We are going to make several trips to the Gateway of Luck. You'll need 1 ladder and 1 torch to make the trip. Send off any two Heroes(Marigold does not help increase the drop rate)as  the drop rate for Topaz is still the same for all. The Topaz should drop every 3-4 times. If you hit a drought of Topaz  then clear the app cache(after you've saved) or web browser cache(after you've saved). 

The trip is 30 minutes long. Not as bad as say a trip to the Well of Wishes. However, it might be best for those without time on their hands to use Fast Foot spells. You will need six Topaz in all to be able to fully search Byron's tracks once. Meanwhile start harvesting twelve brass ingots from Giovanni's house as well.

Bryon's Tracks 

The core item needed to search Byron's tracks

The way to search Bryon's tracks is via crafting a Magnifying Glass. We need six in total to reach the final reward; a cryptic communication. The chance of getting an cryptic communication  is not perfect and has about a 30% chance of drop rate. Which is to say we'll be re-visiting Byron's tracks quite a few times because we will need a few cryptic communications for the next quest.

Go go Gadget!

In order to craft a magnifying glass you will need 2 brass ingots and 1 topaz. The total time to craft the item is 10 minutes for each. Overall we will need 12 brass ingots and 6 Topaz. The brass ingots can be harvested from Giovanni's house or can possibly drop from a trip to Mount Cinder. If you happen to also get an obsidian shard(or find one in global market) hold on to as many as you can. We will need obsdian shards for a future quest.

Once our quest objectives are complete we are rewarded with 25 shiny gems. Good job! In the next quest we will be putting those cryptic communications to use.

Tip: If you have Clover the unicorn(the one with green clover hair and a yellow coat) go ahead and send her to one of the below listed Places of Legends. However, don't take her out until you get the quest so if you gain an emerald it will count toward your requirement.

Clover drops Emerald at Well of Wishes, Dragon Roost, Fairy Falls, Flower Tower and Pirate Wreck.
