CastleVille Player Support was Silently Relocated

Missing No Longer
If you happened to catch my article from yesterday in regards to Zynga's Missing Player to Player Support; I have an update. Good news Monarchs, I've managed to find the vanishing Player to Player support page courtesy of CastleVille's Twitter team. Apparently the section has had a rename with a word more fitting the scope of the forum. Which is to say that it is no longer the 'Help Center' but the 'Questions & Answers' section. Makes sense!

Web addy change and new menu added

Silently moved but why
Here's the interesting thing about it.

The move was done without informing the player base.

We are suppose to dig through their various menus to find the support section to ask our questions or to find answers to our problems. Even if the support is given player to player at least we could help one another fast and efficiently.Of course, Zynga isn't obligated to tell us of such things but most other companies would.

Tin Foil Hat Time
Why the sudden move? It's hard enough to get a hold of Zynga's customer support as it is we didn't need to jump through another hoop to get help between our own community. My own view is that the complaints were far out-weighing the initial outlook of how the game appears to new players.

I believe in magic...
If a new player(or even a dedicated one) continued to see the outpour of questions about bugs and glitches it may affect how much longer that person would play CastleVille. Now if it player has to wade a little into a sea of menus to find the Q&A forum it won't be outright visible that things sometimes get out of hand. The new player will continue to play and the dedicated player will believe it's too hard to post a question and try to resolve the problem on their own.

What it results in is a time lapse of how many questions are being asked. A constructed display of a perfectly working game. Does that seem a bit farfetched? Perhaps but we have to remember that CastleVille Legends alike FarmVille are designed to be negative and draining

However, that much won't stop us from asking our questions and answers. Feel free to drop by and help a fellow player out or ask a question of your own at the newly relocated CastleVille Q&A forum.

Mystery solved.

Happy playing,
-Masaya
