CastleVille Legends: The River Maid Event

It's the month of June and Zynga has released a new questline for CastleVille Legends players everywhere. A few weeks ago it was hinted that there would be a new quest involving a Sea Captain looking for his true love. Today, the River Maid story event has been introduced. The premise is that Captain Pym(whom coincidentally is the captain of our trade ship!) is in love with Ula, the River Maid. They both are in love but her fishy tail prevents them from being together on land. Awww!

It's up to us to help Captain Pym acquire the various magical ingredients to defy the laws of nature to unite the two forever.

Here's what you need to know before we begin:

There are three phases to the storyline.

Emeralds, Wool, Oats, Eggs, Stardust, Opals, Jade clover, Logs, Forest Charms, Creamy Oatmeal, Carrot Cake, and Cheese are the primary ingredients to collect. Secondary ingredients are River frog oil, Sunstones, and Lightfoot berries.

A player must be level 14 or higher to begin the story event.

A player has 20 days as of today's date to complete the entire questline to acquire all the rewards.

There is a golden merhorse called Wavedancer(she helps to collect addition seasonal ingredients) available for 350 crowns to purchase.

Edit: June 05, 2014  Some players are reporting bad news for those that share ingredients or crafted items during these kinds of events. Apparently Zynga has made it so that once a player is done with a specific portion of the quest the corresponding items will disappear from both the buildings and places of Legend. Also, you cannot send completed crafted goods (ex. frog oil pants) via trade. So if you want to help out your Alliance members make sure to not complete the quest before you send out your ingredients to them.

Edit: June 06, 2014 Zynga will be applying a fix to the lightfoot berries.

Edit: June 12th, 2014: A hot fix has been added that cuts the amount of Frog Oil by half. The drop rate of Frog Oil has been changed to nearly 98% instead of the 25% chance it had originally.
