Chapter 3 begins to really step up the intensity in our quests.  Zynga has admitted to pushing the limit of how challenging our quests should be. Make clever use of your Quick spells and Fast Foot spells, Only use the workshop boosts if the task is far too much to handle. And don't forget to ask your Alliance for help,

Let's step up our game too!  

Quest 3:1 Fairie Tricks I of VI

Gio is always quick to help with science!

Our basic outline for this first part will be to craft Brass gears at the Gadget shoppe. We'll also send Giovanni to the Ancient Watchtower to explore. 'As soon as he's done with that it's off to the Gateway of Luck to find the Counter Weights.

Crafting brass gears is easy. Harvest Giovanni's house for a single ingot and either wait out the timer or use a few Quick Spells to get the extra bars fast. Usually, you'll find a few on Global Market. If you trade with your Alliance to fulfill the quest requirement just don't forget to make your own for later use in future crafts.

Easy peasy requirement

I went ahead and sent off Giovanni to the Ancient Watchtower to get that part out of the way. The majority of our time will be spent at the Gateway of Luck.

Send Gio with any random Hero

The Gateway of Luck is where you'll find the Counter Weights. Keep sending Giovanni with any random Hero for a chance at the Counter Weight.

Helpful Tip 1: In case you've forgotten who to send for what these heroes bring in extra items --
Bluebelle: Lemon
Leif: Ice
Cloudmist: Wool
Buttercup: Cream
Ember: Torch

Helpful Tip 2: You need to keep finding more Counter Weights. A lot more(I believe 24 in total then double that if you do the bonus quest).

Note: In my screenshot you'll notice that the drop rate for Counter Weights was 100%. Unfortunately this has been recently stealth nerfed by Zynga. It's now about a 55% drop rate. You should now get one about every other try.

Once you've completed the requirements you'll be awarded with 2750XP.  Also this will open up the Bonus Quest for crowns.

This will take some doing.

The Telescope Recalibrator will open up in the second part of the quest. Until then keep collecting the Counter Weights and making Brass Gears. Also, even though you'll be able to craft both Telescope Recalibrators - it's best to wait. This is because in the third part of the quest you'll have to craft one Telescope Recalibrator. Save yourself the headache of accidently having to make three of these. Gather the mats for two and if you want to save time then only craft one.

Helpful Tip 1: You can essentially chesse the BlueBell Patch part by simply buying the Petals off the Global Market. Usually you will see them in stacks of 10. My advice is to harvest the patch manually or by using quck spells. You see, in Chapter 4, we will need more Fairy Fabric. You'll need to start collecting as soon as possible.

Quest 3:2 Fairie Tricks II of VI

Apparently it was only a setback.

 Giovanni's improvements to his telescope are turning out a bit explosive as usual. We are tasked with crafting six Counter Balances, 3 Lava Hammers, and finding Molten Forms. Remember I said that Zynga is stepping up the challenge in this event? It's about to get hairy.

Hello evil craft item.

If you break this part down it's not so bad and especially if you happen to have a Gadget Shoppe Boost on hand then this part will be a snap. If it so happens that you are out of a boost and fast foot spells ...well it's a lot of time. Luckily the Gateway of Luck is only a 30 minute jaunt for our heroes.

The Elf Helper with Gold is still useful

Back to the Gatway of Luck we go if we need more Counter Weights to drop. Send Giovanni alongside any hero.

Helpful Tip: Did you know that the Christmas Helper Elf is still available for purchase? He costs a hefty amount(250K gold) but if you're maxed capped in coin he's great to bring along. Not to mention he also adds a small bonus to special items dropping.

 Gather your mats and it's off to Mount Cinder we go. Molten Forms have about a 60% to drop. You'll be making a few more trips if you want to complete the bonus quest. While you wait head up to the Gadget Shoppe to craft 3 Lava Hammers or buy/trade to fulfill the requirement. They aren't needed for anything else.

Impatience is a not a good virtue to have Bluebelle

Once everything has been completed you'll be awarded with 3000XP.

Quest 3:3 Fairie Tricks III of VI

Poor guy, he's trying to help but now he's doubting his genius because of Bluebelle!

Our next step of the quest is rather straightforward although lofty in gathered materials. Go ahead and harvest your Red pepper patch twice for the Chili peppers. Hopefully if you followed the guide you will already have the gathered materials for the Telescope Recalibrator.

Speaking of which -- if you need to gather the items then the Counter Weights are found at the Gateway of Luck. You'll need four with 3 Brass gears to make one Counter Balance. Molten Forms are found at Mount Cinder. Giovanni has to go to collect these items so send him off with any other hero. After you are done then send him off to the Well of Wishes if you haven't already done so.

Bluebell is all shades of wrong.

 Once your tasks are complete then we are you are awarded with 3200XP.

 Also if you managed to complete the quests in time fthen you'll be awarded with two Golden Pearls.
