Previous Banners will not count

Hello all!

Recently the Castleville Legends team posted on their Facebook page that previous tournament banners would be fixed and count toward the Leaderboard side event of the Friendship Tournament. However, it has come to light that this is not the case.

The truth is that the banners collected previously will not count. And this is intended.

Why of course this is balanced in their heads....

Rather this is how it is now meant to be as I imagine it was far too difficult to fix and the Zynga team decided against spending resources to correct this matter.

If you had completed the three quests prior filled crates, and received banners at Places of Legend before the Leaderboard activated those tournament banner points are forever lost. This also means that any player that starts these quests at this point will have an extra advantage over the players that started when the event was first released. This is because their points gained from the quests and any trips to the Places of Legends will absolutely count.

What to learn from this
It pains me to think this way but perhaps it is best in future leaderboard events to not happily rush forward to complete quests/explore Places of Legend until one is 100% that the actual leaderboard system is in place. It's best to be safe than sorry. A bittersweet pill to take for sure.

Personally I feel that the final stance that the Castleville Legends team has decided to take on this is alike being punished for eagerly wanting to play their game. It certainly isn't the fault of players that the leaderboard function wasn't working properly at release. If anything, the scales should be balanced. Somehow make it so that the late starters do not have those first three quests count. That would at least even out the score boards a bit.
